Abdominal Plastic Surgery
The procedure involves the removal of the skin and fat excess from the middle and lower parts of the abdomen. In some cases, tension of muscles of the abdominal region or liposuction can be performed. The surgery requires general anesthesia.
During the treatment, the fat is suctioned out using a cannula inserted through small incisions in the skin. The procedure aims to model the silhouette and can be performed for several parts of the body. The type of anesthesia administered is dependent on the extent of surgery.
Excision of the birthmark with a small margin of healthy skin, under local anesthesia, may be performed for both aesthetic and medical reasons. The excised tissue is then subjected to histopathological examination.
